In 2016, he was honored with an invitation from the German President to speak on the issue of migration at Bellevue Palace in Berlin.

In 2021, he received an invitation from the director of the Kampnagel International Summer Festival to participate in a discussion on Culture & Migration alongside German Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister of Finance Olaf Scholz, as well as Dr. Carsten Brosda, Hamburg’s Senator for Culture and Media.​
